Described as ‘funny, raunchy, moving, uplifting and timely’, this is about Rory O’Neill, whose alter ego is drag queen ‘Panti Bliss’. O’Neill had a happy childhood in the village of Ballinrobe until he realised he was gay. Then he couldn’t wait to find a more accepting environment. After overseas success, the comedian began to campaign for marriage equality. Behind the exuberant Panti is a thoughtful, articulate and courageous man. The film features the speech at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre that went viral and his unforgettable.
