Maleny Arts Council is proud to present the Award winning drama Motherland in the Community Centre on Wednesday 4th May at 7.00pm, direct from the Queensland Theatre Company Season.

Based in fact, the epic and intimate Motherland intertwines the sweeping stories of three very different women from different times, united in the heartache of exile from their homelands. Inspired by the marriage of Brisbane socalite Nelle Tritton to former Russian Prime Minister Alexander Karensky, Queensland playwright Katherine Lyall-Watson weaves a gripping drama that takes us from the Russian Revolution through Nazi occupied France to Brisbane in the throes of the Fitzgerald enquiry. It is a story of three relationships in turbulent times.
